A Path of Love
The building and trees take up one-third of the space in the picture. The maroon-colored roof and the tree leaves separate the bright green lawn and soft blue sky, giving the picture a solid and yet warm feel. The most eye-catching point of interest might be the little white path on the left side of the lawn, which enlivens the photo’s softer hues.
Most importantly, the path leads the viewer’s gaze up to the main subject, a warm home. Supreme Master Ching Hai lovingly covered the path with white plastic sheets to protect the tender feet of the royal swan named Pitu, Pitu’s husband Sai, and their precious babies who frequently came to pay visits to the photographer and owner of the house. Thus, this “path of love” leads to the caring home situated in Amoura Village, the “Village of Love.”
