Perhaps it is influenced by poetry, I like a minimalist, abstract style. This work utilizes the ductility of brass to create the curves that resemble swans’ necks. The pair symbolizes a loving couple. The wavy lines are made with cotton strings from finished steamed rice dumplings; they become the rippling water surface here. The large circular shape is the full moon over the lake. The water is quiet in the springtime as the couple swim across the lake. It is hoped that the onlookers on the shore (the whitewashed twig is the shoreline) could feel the poetic view of a thousand moons on a thousand rivers.
